An example of how Verbatim effectively utilizes its global network to support customer translation needs can be identified through the translation work we've done for Lotus, one of our key clients. Lotus requested that Verbatim provide them with localization services of 57 complex technical manuals, web-based training courses and software strings into 17 foreign languages in a very short time frame. Verbatim immediately responded to the client's request and fulfilled their needs while meeting the assigned deadline several days ahead of schedule. The work was managed out of Verbatim's Salt Lake City offices with translations, testing and compliance reviews being carried out of Verbatim's production facilities throughout the following countries: Germany, Belgium, Spain, France, Mexico, Singapore, Japan, China, Italy, and Brazil. Today, Lotus remains a loyal customer of Verbatim as we continue to consistently meet their timelines and produce high quality products.
Ideally, we will be involved at an early stage of a product's development and will follow through to completion. This means consulting with technical authors, graphic designers, or software developers throughout our network to be sure that translation and localization issues are fully integrated into the overall plan rather than addressed at the last minute, almost as an afterthought, in isolation from the development process.
