The age old battle
Professional translators have been very critical of the new breed of translators cropping up lately. These new tools in machine translation have gotten a lot of press and it’s true that machine translation tools have made leaps and bounds over the past couple of years. This is not to say that human translation will be rendered obsolete.
On the contrary, this dichotomy of resources represents two very different translation solutions that can work hand in hand. Human translation is necessary for complete and accurate translations that communicate the nuances of any given language. What machine translation can provide are tools that add quality and speed of the professional translators.
